Package of measures against price increases is being prepared

A package of measures to limit price increases is being prepared, as it will be aimed at supporting the most vulnerable groups. This was stated by caretaker Prime Minister Andrey Gyurov, who together with the Minister of Economy, Irina Shtonova, held a meeting with representatives of the Association for Modern Trade as part of the talks on the package. According to Gyurov, the package will consist of sectoral measures aimed at stopping price increases along the chain before the goods reach the end consumers, the Council of Ministers announced on Facebook.

The participants in the meeting expressed the opinion that at the moment there were not enough grounds for food price rise, while at the same time emphasizing that the situation remains dynamic and will be closely monitored.
