Traffic remains heavy for outbound trucks heading to Türkiye at the “Kapitan Andreevo” and “Lesovo” border crossing, the Border Police reported. Traffic at all crossings to neighboring Greece, North Macedonia, and Serbia is normal. Traffic across the Danube Bridge near Ruse is being carried out in stages in a single lane, the Border Police also reminded.

Over the past 24 hours, two people have died and eight have been injured in road accidents across the country, according to the police website. Since the beginning of March, 331 accidents have occurred, resulting in 26 fatalities and 418 injuries. Since the beginning of the year, there have been a total of 1,137 road accidents, with 85 fatalities and 1,426 injuries.

50 fires have been extinguished over the past 24 hours. Material damage was reported in 18 of them, including 12 in residential buildings, said the Directorate General Fire Safety and Civil Protection.
