Traffic is heavy at two BCPs with Turkey

Heavy traffic is reported at the Kapitan Andreevo and Lesovo checkpoints on the Turkish border for outgoing freight vehicles, the Border Police said. Traffic remains normal at crossings with Greece, Romania, North Macedonia and Serbia.

Over the past 24 hours, firefighters extinguished 68 blazes nationwide, the Fire Safety and Civil Protection Directorate said. A 73-year-old man was injured in a house fire in Haskovo. Crews responded to 98 emergency calls and carried out 25 rescue operations.

The Interior Ministry reported 22 road accidents in the past day, leaving 25 people injured. In Sofia, 33 accidents were recorded, including four serious cases, with four people injured.
