The first of its kind in Eastern Europe, Institute for Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence and Technology INSAIT at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” has presented the new generation of the Bulgarian language model BgGPT 3.0 – a technology of strategic importance for the sovereignty of the country in artificial intelligence, BGNES reports.

“The news is that INSAIT is launching a website for public use for all citizens and institutions. This is a national platform for artificial intelligence,” said INSAIT founder Prof. Martin Vechev.

Researcher at the institute Anton Alexandrov demonstrated how the language model works – he took a picture through the window and asked with a voice question what city this was. Despite the blinds, BgGPT 3.0 was able to recognize where the shots were from and replied that this was Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria.

Although the models are developed specifically for the Bulgarian language, they also work well in English. BgGPT 3.0 is freely available to everyone via the public chat bggpt.ai.
