Heavy outbound truck traffic to Türkiye

Traffic for outbound freight vehicles is heavy at the “Kapitan Andreevo” and “Lesovo” border crossings toward Türkiye, the Border Police report. Traffic at all other border checkpoints with Romania, Greece, Serbia and North Macedonia is proceeding normally. Traffic on the Danube Bridge near Ruse is being carried out in a single lane due to ongoing scheduled major repairs.

Temporary traffic changes will be in effect on sections of the “Struma” motorway in the Kyustendil region from March 30 to April 3, the Road Infrastructure Agency announced.

During the weekend, 20 people were injured in accidents across the country, and one person died, according to the Traffic Police. Since the beginning of the month, 400 serious road accidents have occurred, resulting in 27 deaths and 498 injuries. Since the beginning of the year, there have been 1,204 accidents, with 86 fatalities and 1,524 injuries.

38 fires have been extinguished in the past 24 hours, 14 of which caused material damage. No deaths or injuries were reported.
