Traffic is heavier at the “Kapitan Andreevo” and “Lesovo” border crossings for trucks heading toward Turkey, the Border Police reported on Tuesday morning. Traffic flow and crossings toward Greece, Romania, Serbia, and North Macedonia remain normal. At the Danube Bridge near Ruse, traffic is being allowed through in stages in a single lane due to scheduled major repairs of the facility.

On Tuesday, March 31, between 6:00 and 7:00 p.m., difficulties are possible when purchasing e-vignettes and route cards, the Road Infrastructure Agency announced. The reason is testing of the toll system’s backup power supply. The agency advises drivers planning to travel to purchase the required e-vignette or route card in advance.

Over the past 24 hours, 15 people were injured in 13 serious road accidents across the country. No fatalities have been reported, according to the Traffic Police.
