President criticizes caretaker prime minister's visit to Kyiv

President Iliana Iotova was not informed about Prime Minister Andrey Gyurov's visit to Ukraine, the composition of the delegation he led and the signing of a 10-year cooperation agreement between Sofia and Kyiv in the field of security and defence. Iotova described Gyurov's behavior as a lack of institutional manners and described the signing of the document as inadequate, BTA reported.

At an informal meeting of EU foreign ministers held in Kyiv, Bulgaria confirmed its consistent support for the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine, as well as its commitment to achieving a just and lasting peace. Caretaker Foreign Minister Nadezhda Neynsky participated in the meeting, the Foreign Ministry announced.
