Traffic is normal at all border crossings and checkpoints in the country toward Türkiye, Greece, Romania, Serbia and North Macedonia, the Border Police reported. Traffic on the Danube Bridge near Ruse is limited to a single lane due to scheduled major repairs on the structure, which was built in 1954.

Drivers are advised to exercise increased caution until Friday, April 3, in the area of Sandanski due to maintenance of the toll frame.

Over the past 24 hours, 14 serious traffic accidents occurred nationwide, leaving 16 people injured, reported the Traffic Police. Since the beginning of the year, there have been 1,246 accidents in the country, resulting in 1,554 injuries and 87 fatalities.

Thirty-three fires have been extinguished in the country over the past 24 hours. No casualties or injuries were reported, according to the Directorate General Fire Safety and Civil Protection.
