Vidin Municipality is preparing a project for a modern university complex and a Balkan high-tech center, BTA reports, citing Mayor Tsvetan Tsenkov.
The municipal administration aims to make Vidin a leading educational and economic hub in Bulgaria and is actively attracting young talent. Specific support measures are targeted at future specialists in medicine and civil engineering.

Recently, the city hosted this year’s edition of the Higher Education Panorama, featuring over 20 universities from across Bulgaria. Organizers note that interest in the event grows each year, demonstrating the need for direct contact between the academic community and prospective students.

At the forum’s opening, Vidin Mayor Tsenkov stated that the new university and high-tech complex in Northwestern Bulgaria will be built to modern international standards to meet labor market demands and the needs of future generations.
