Heavy truck traffic towards Türkiye

Truck traffic at the Kapitan Andreevo border crossing towards Türkiye is intense, the Border Police reported. Traffic is normal at all other border crossings with Greece, North Macedonia, Serbia and Romania. Traffic across the Danube Bridge near Ruse is temporarily being carried out in one lane in stages due to major repairs to the facility.

Starting April 6, under favourable weather conditions, the Sofia Municipality is accelerating repair work on the Tsarigradsko Shose and Samokovsko Shose boulevards in preparation for the Giro d’Italia cycling race, the municipality announced. The activities will be carried out in stages in small sections, without completely stopping traffic, but with a temporary narrowing of the road lanes. Temporary traffic disruptions are expected and drivers should drive with caution, using alternative routes if possible.
