Yellow weather warnings for strong winds have been issued for six northern regions as spring conditions persist.
On Tuesday, minimum temperatures will range from 6°C to 11°C, with around 6°C expected in Sofia. Cloud cover will be variable, becoming more widespread in the afternoon. In the Rhodopes, convective cloud will bring short, intense showers locally. Westerly winds will strengthen, becoming moderate to strong and gusty. Maximum temperatures will reach 15-20°C, around 18°C in the capital.
Along the Black Sea coast, cloud cover will be variable, often significant. Light rain is expected in places along the northern coast in the morning. Winds will be light to moderate, shifting from north-northeast to west-southwest by evening. Temperatures will reach 12-15°C. Sea water temperatures will be 11-13°C, with slight waves.
In the mountains, cloud will be variable and often heavy. Showers and thunderstorms are expected in the Rhodope Mountains. It will be windy with strong to gale-force north-westerly winds at higher elevations. Temperatures will reach around 11°C at 1,200 metres and 4°C at 2,000 metres.
On Wednesday, moderate winds from the northwest will persist and temperatures will fall, reaching highs of 10-15°C. Light rain is expected in places, mainly in the east. On Thursday, the winds will ease, but cloud cover will increase, and there is a possibility of more widespread rain and some snow in northern and mountainous areas.
