Graffiti artists from Burgas, part of the creative duo SuperGteam — Nikolai Dimitrov and Daniel Dubarov — have painted a mural in the courtyard of the Escuela Primaria República de Bulgaria (Republic of Bulgaria Primary School) in the Coyoacán district of Mexico City, BTA reported.

The mural reflects the connection between Bulgaria and Mexico through symbols that are characteristic of both cultures. At the centre of the composition are the traditional Bulgarian figures Pizho and Penda, reinterpreted with Mexican elements.
The artists also said that the project has an educational aim. The word 'Mexico' is written in Cyrillic to draw students' attention to the Bulgarian alphabet. A unifying element in the composition is a thread that runs through the entire image and is woven together at the centre, symbolising connection and unity.
