Busy truck traffic to Turkey, no border delays

Truck traffic heading to Turkey at the “Kapitan Andreevo” border crossing is heavy, according to the Border Police. Crossings at all other checkpoints in the country, including those toward Greece, North Macedonia, Serbia and Romania, are operating normally. Traffic across the Danube Bridge near Ruse is currently restricted to one lane due to maintenance work.

The Road Infrastructure Agency advises drivers to exercise caution and maintain a safe speed on the Struma Motorway between km 128 and km 151, in the section between Dolna Gradeshna and Damyanitsa in the Blagoevgrad region. Road repairs are underway to improve traffic safety, with work being carried out in stages in both lanes.

Two people were killed and 31 others injured in 23 serious accidents across the country in the past 24 hours.
