Ahead
of Easter, heavy traffic is expected at the main exits of Sofia. Over
190,000 vehicles are expected to leave the capital city. The Trakia
Motorway is expected to be the busiest, followed by Hemus and Struma.
The heaviest traffic is expected in the afternoon and evening hours
in the days before the holiday. Then, traffic can reach
4,000 vehicles per hour. In this regard, drivers are advised to plan
their trips outside peak hours to ensure safer
travel, the Road Infrastructure Agency says.
In
the days around the holiday, the movement of trucks over 12 tons will
be restricted on the Trakia Motorway, Hemus Motorway and Struma
Motorway and a section of road I-1 in Blagoevgrad district.
