Ahead of Easter, heavy traffic is expected at the main exits of Sofia. Over 190,000 vehicles are expected to leave the capital city. The Trakia Motorway is expected to be the busiest, followed by Hemus and Struma.

The heaviest traffic is expected in the afternoon and evening hours in the days before the holiday. Then, traffic can reach 4,000 vehicles per hour. In this regard, drivers are advised to plan their trips outside peak hours to ensure safer travel, the Road Infrastructure Agency says. In the days around the holiday, the movement of trucks over 12 tons will be restricted on the Trakia Motorway, Hemus Motorway and Struma Motorway and a section of road I-1 in Blagoevgrad district.
