Bulgaria will not send delegation to Jerusalem for the Holy Fire

The Bulgarian Orthodox Church will not send a delegation to Jerusalem for the Holy Fire due to the tense situation in the region, related to the conflict in the Middle East. This was announced by the Holy Synod.

They point out that the Holy Fire is kept in the Synodal Chapel, in several monasteries and in the capital's "St. Nedelya" church. It will be transported to all churches for this year's Easter services.

The Synod calls on Orthodox Christians to pray for an end to the conflict in the Middle East and for peace in the Holy Land and everywhere in the world.
