Heavy traffic at the “Kapitan Andreevo” and “Malko Tarnovo” border checkpoints

Traffic is heavy at the “Kapitan Andreevo” border checkpoint with Türkiye for outbound freight vehicles and at the “Malko Tarnovo” checkpoint for outbound passenger vehicles. At all other border crossings and checkpoints, traffic is normal, the General Directorate “Border Police” said. A change has been introduced in the temporary traffic organization on the Danube Bridge near Ruse, and until 8:00 a.m. on April 14, traffic will be moving in both directions.

Five people were injured in fires over the past 24 hours, the General Directorate “Fire Safety and Civil Protection” reported. Firefighters responded to a total of 96 emergency calls and extinguished 69 fires.

Two people died and 20 were injured in 19 road accidents that occurred over the past 24 hours, the Interior Ministry said. In the capital city, one serious and 30 minor traffic accidents were registered, with one fatality. Since the beginning of April, there have been 132 accidents, resulting in 9 fatalities and 152 injuries.
