Border traffic at Bulgarian border crossings in normal

Traffic at all border crossings and checkpoints in the country is normal, according to Border Police. At the border crossing with Romania at Ruse-Giurgiu, repair works are being carried out on the Bulgarian section of the bridge, and traffic is being regulated in a single lane.

Two people have died and 11 have been injured in 24 serious road accidents across the country in the past 24 hours, according to Traffic Police. Among the victims is a 17-year-old boy who was traveling with an 18-year-old driver who had only two months of driving experience. The young driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a guardrail and then a tree near the village of Rozino. The driver, along with two other passengers aged 17 and 15, were injured and admitted to hospital.

Since the beginning of the month, there have been 185 serious accidents, with 237 injured and 15 fatalities. Since the beginning of the year, the total number of accidents has reached 1,424, with 104 deaths and 1,781 injuries.
