Ministry of Defence: Transport aircraft will land at Varna Airport

There will be pre-planned technical landings of C-17 Globemaster transport aircraft at Varna Airport until April 17. This is related to the implementation of "routine procedures for technical maintenance and refueling of aircraft," the Ministry of Defense announced. They specify that the flight through the airspace of Bulgaria and the use of the airport infrastructure are in accordance with national legislation.

The procedures have been previously agreed with the competent authorities and do not affect the regular flight schedule at the civil airport. It is indicated that the flights are carried out on the basis of a reciprocal permanent diplomatic permit, granted by the country under the current legislation.
