Dryanovo hosts travelling exhibition “Stories Behind the Facades”

The History Museum in Dryanovo will host the travelling exhibition Stories Behind the Facades, presented by the Regional History Museum in Sofia. It opens on 16 April at 5:30 pm.

The exhibition tells the personal stories behind eleven iconic houses in Sofia, bringing to light the people and events that shaped their past. It focuses on the lives behind the facades - individuals and families who played a part in the city’s development.

Visitors can discover lesser-known but important figures such as entrepreneur Samuel Patak and engineer Georgi Savov, as well as families like the Hadzhikotsevs and the Hadzhilaskovs. Many of the stories come from descendants of those featured and are complemented by archival research.
