Intense truck traffic at “Kapitan Andreevo” and “Lesovo” border checkpoints

There is intense truck traffic at the border crossings “Kapitan Andreevo” and “Lesovo” in the direction to Turkey, the Border Police has reported. Traffic is normal at all border crossings with Greece, North Macedonia, Serbia and Romania. At the border crossing Ruse – Giurgiu, repair work is being carried out in the Bulgarian section of the bridge facility. Traffic is regulated and passes in one lane.

Two people died and 11 have been injured in 13 serious accidents over the past 24 hours in the country, the traffic police reported. Since the beginning of the month, 214 significant accidents have occurred, in which 18 people lost their lives and 266 were injured.

The number of accidents since the beginning of the year is 1,456, in which 107 people died and 1,813 were injured.
