Countdown to the start of Giro d'Italia in Bulgaria has begun

Minister of Youth and Sports, Dimitar Iliev, has officially started the countdown to one of the largest cycling events in the world - Giro d'Italia. A special clock was placed in the center of Sofia, which will count down the days until the start of the race. Bulgaria will make history as the host of the first three stages of the prestigious race.

The best cyclists in the world will pass through cities such as Nessebar, Burgas, Veliko Tarnovo, Plovdiv and Sofia. The official start will be given on May 8 in Nessebar. The installation, located in the square in front of the St. Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, already shows a little over three weeks until the start of the event. The clock is coloured in pink - a symbol of the race, BTA and BGNES report.
