To mark 150 years since the April Uprising, the Bulgarian National Bank will issue a silver commemorative coin on 20 April.
The coin is part of the 'Bulgarian Revival' series, has a face value of 10 euros, and is dated 2026. It will be released at a price of €144 (281.64 leva).
The coin's obverse features the Bulgarian National Bank emblem alongside the year "1879", the First Shot Bridge in Koprivshtitsa, the year of issue "2026", and the denomination "10 euros".
The reverse features a flag bearing the inscription 'Freedom or Death', a crowned lion and the year '1876', all framed by laurel branches. The inscription '150 Years Since the April Uprising' runs around the edge.
The coin was designed by Svetlin Balezdrov.
