Exit poll results from the sociological agency "Myara", one of the two partner agencies of the Bulgarian National Radio in covering the vote, show that 5 parties and coalitions surely enter the 52nd National Assembly, and one is on the verge of the 4-percent barrier.

"Myara" data shows the following distribution of votes from the early parliamentary elections in Bulgaria on April 19, 2026:

"Progressive Bulgaria": 38.7% (109 seats);
GERB-SDS: 14.7% (41 seats);
PP-DB: 13.3% (38 seats);
DPS: 9.1% (26 seats);
"Vazrazhdane": 5.3% (15 seats);
BSP - United Left: 4.0% (11 seats).

Below the 4 percent barrier remain MECH (3.4%), "Velichie" (3.2%), "Siyanie" (2.6%), ITN (1.9%), "Alliance for Rights and Freedoms" (1.8%), "Blue Bulgaria" (0.5%). The turnout in the early parliamentary elections for the 52nd National Assembly is 48.5%. 1.9% of voters voted with "I do not support anyone".

The other partner agency of the Bulgarian National Radio in monitoring the vote this year – "Alpha Research" – gives the following first results of the vote at 8 pm, as a result of the survey of the pollsters in the polling stations on April 19:

"Progressive Bulgaria": 38.1% (107 seats);
GERB-SDS: 15.9% (45 seats);
PP-DB: 14.1% (40 seats);
DPS: 7.9% (22 seats);

Below the 4-percent threshold remain MECH (2.8%), "Alliance for Rights and Freedoms" (2.8%), "Velichie" (2.7%), "Siyanie" (2.6%), ITN (1.0%), "Blue Bulgaria" (0.8%). The turnout in the early parliamentary elections for the 52nd National Assembly is 51.1%.

We recall that in the first of the series of eight parliamentary elections in April 2021, the turnout was 50.61%, and from then on it ranged from 34.41% on June 9, 2024 to 42.19% on July 11, 2021.

These are the eighth consecutive and seventh early parliamentary elections since April 2021. A total of 24 formations - 14 parties and 10 coalitions, and one independent candidate in Smolyan competed for entry into the 240-seat Bulgarian parliament. Bulgarians abroad vote in 493 polling stations in 55 countries. For comparison, in the previous parliamentary elections in October 2024, our compatriots abroad had the opportunity to cast their votes in 719 polling stations in 57 countries. The greatly reduced number of polling stations is the result of changes to the Electoral Code this year, with which the parliament limited to 20 the polling stations outside our diplomatic and consular representations in countries outside the European Union. As a result, in countries such as Türkiye, the UK and the USA, where Bulgarians are traditionally very active, the number of polling stations was significantly reduced.

The largest number of polling stations were opened in Germany – 70, Spain – 67, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland – 28, Türkiye – 27, Italy – 27, Greece – 26, the USA – 25, the Netherlands – 24, France – 19 and in Belgium, Austria and Canada – 17 each. Voting by Bulgarians around the world began at 22:00 on April 18 Bulgarian time in New Zealand and will end at 06:00 Bulgarian time on Monday, April 20.
