Plovdiv exhibition showcases national costumes from 17 countries

An exhibition celebrating traditional dress from around the world opens on April 21 at 6pm at the Regional Ethnographic Museum in Plovdiv.

Titled “The National Costume: A Source of Pride and Heritage”, it brings together a selection of photographs showcasing the diversity and colour of national costumes from 17 countries, including Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Hungary, Cuba, Malaysia, Moldova, Nigeria, the Philippines, Qatar, Romania, Rwanda, Serbia, Tajikistan, Turkey, Ukraine, Mexico and Ghana.

The exhibition explores traditional clothing as an expression of history, identity and spirituality, while highlighting the importance of preserving cultural heritage across generations.

It will be on display until May 15.
