President Iotova hopes to convene the new 52nd parliament next week

President Iliana Iotova will set the date for convening the newly elected parliament after the Central Election Commission announces the official results.

"Let's wait for the official announcement of the election results and the announcement of the names of the new 240 MPs. You know that the deadline is until April 26. Personally, I hope that the Central Election Commission will be ready even earlier, so next week the National Assembly can be convened, but I cannot say the exact date yet," the President said.

Iliana Iotova congratulated Rumen Radev on the victory and said that she expects a government to be formed as soon as the first mandate is handed over. She also appreciated the contribution of Bulgarian voters to creating the new majority, because they believed in their vote.
