Bulgaria has asked to extend deadlines for two key milestones under its Recovery and Resilience Plan after the European Commission froze payments worth 367.3 million euros, BNR’s Brussels correspondent Angelina Piskova reported, quoting Commission spokesperson Maciej Berestecki.
The request, submitted last week, includes a proposal to revise the plan.
One milestone concerns setting up a politically independent anti-corruption body, while the other requires it to become fully operational.
