BTL Industries has been named “Investor of the Year” for 2025 at the 20th edition of the awards organized by the Invest Bulgaria Agency. President Iliana Iotova presented the award to the company’s CEO, Veselin Karavasilev, at an official ceremony held in Sofia.
The company received the top distinction for its EUR 51 million investment in Plovdiv in 2025, which created more than 700 jobs. BTL Industries has been present on the Bulgarian market since 1998 and also operates a research and development center in Sofia. The company sells its medical devices in more than 120 countries across six continents.
Foreign direct investment in Bulgaria during the first two months of 2026 exceeded EUR 800 million- nearly double the figure for the same period in 2025, despite a complex international environment. This was announced by Angel Ivanov, Acting Executive Director of the Invest Bulgaria Agency, during the opening of the ceremony, BTA reported.
