The President will call on the new parliament to return to political normality

The people voted for normality and we must do our best to achieve it, President Iliana Iotova told journalists in Vidin in response to a question about the messages she will send to the newly elected MPs in the 52nd National Assembly. The head of state recalled that she expects a new way of relations between Bulgarian institutions.

“The country has serious problems and everyone’s efforts are needed to solve them. Anyone who does not work in the interests of the people has no reason to participate in Bulgarian politics,” the president added. She once again stated that she would not delay the constitutional procedure and would hold quick consultations with the parliamentary groups, Radio Vidin reported.
