Bulgaria's Southern Bulgarian Black Sea Coast is expecting more tourists this summer. Reservation data indicates an increase of around 3%, announced caretaker Tourism Minister Irena Georgieva during a working meeting in Burgas with representatives of local authorities, according to BNT.

The Ministry of Tourism has intensified its marketing activities in key markets such as the Czech Republic and Poland, while also holding talks with airlines to expand flight programs and improve connectivity, the ministry reports on its website.

Water quality along the coast will be checked at 49 monitoring points. So far, no deviations from the standards have been detected. Increased inspections of food quality are also planned.

The Ministry of Interior has taken measures to ensure public order and safety during the 2026 summer season, including the deployment of police officers from Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic, and Romania to assist along the Southern Black Sea coast.
