National Statistical Institute of Bulgaria: Annual inflation rises to 7.1%

According to a flash preliminary estimate by the National Statistical Institute of Bulgaria, monthly inflation in April 2026 is expected to reach 2.0%, while annual inflation is projected at 7.1%.

Compared to the previous month, the largest price increases are anticipated in the categories of transport (10.6%), clothing and footwear (7.9%), and food products and non-alcoholic beverages (2.1%). A decrease is expected in the category of recreation, sports and culture (-1.5%).
