Caretaker Minister of Interior is on a visit to USA

A delegation of the Ministry of the Interior, led by caretaker Minister Emil Dechev, is on a working visit to the USA, the press center of the ministry announced. Meetings were held at the US Department of Homeland Security and the US Department of Justice, as well as the Air Force Office of Special Investigations (AFOSI) and other US institutions and agencies.

The talks noted the excellent bilateral cooperation in the field of security, with a priority focus on countering terrorism, border security and migration. The Bulgarian delegation also noted the significant progress of this country in the implementation and finalization of the process of joining the US Visa Waiver Program (VWP).
