The 'Democratic Bulgaria' coalition has announced its intention to seek the establishment of a parliamentary commission to investigate the assets of DPS leader Delyan Peevski. In a statement, the group said that it would submit a draft resolution to parliament to set up a panel to examine significant discrepancies between Peevski's declared income, assets, spending, and apparent standard of living.
The coalition stated that its member party, "Yes, Bulgaria", had already filed complaints with the anti-corruption commission, the revenue agency, and prosecutors, citing publicly available information.
According to these, there are substantial discrepancies between Peevski’s declared income and the figures in the annual financial statements of companies of which he is or has been the sole owner.
