Bulgarian company Helios Marine will electrify a vessel used by the Royal Yacht Squadron, the company said.
The UK-based club, which was founded in 1826 and is under the patronage of King Charles III, intends to convert the boat so that it is fully electric while retaining its operational role.
The project includes installing a battery system to manage and optimise onboard energy use in real time.
Engineer Denitsa Veleva, a Solent University graduate, is leading the technical work.
