St. George’s Day in Bulgaria will be warm and sunny

On Wednesday, minimum temperatures in Bulgaria will range between 5°C and 10°C. In Sofia, around 6°C is expected. During the day, it will be mostly sunny with scattered high clouds. In the afternoon, clouds will develop over the mountains, bringing brief showers and thunderstorms in some areas. Winds will be light to moderate from the east-southeast.

Maximum temperatures will range from 23°C to 28°C, with around 25°C in the capital.

Along the Black Sea coast, it will be sunny with some scattered clouds. Maximum temperatures will range between 16°C and 18°C. Sea water temperature is around 12-13°C, and sea conditions will be slight, around sea state 2.

In the mountains, sunny weather will prevail. In the afternoon, clouds will develop, with brief showers and thunderstorms in isolated places. Winds will be light to moderate from the east-southeast. At higher altitudes, winds will be from the north-northwest, shifting to west-southwest after noon. Maximum temperatures at 1,200 meters altitude will be around 16°C, and at 2,000 meters around 8°C.

On Thursday, over Eastern Bulgaria, it will remain mostly sunny, but over Western and Central parts, cloudiness will often be significant, especially around and after noon. There will be brief rain showers in some areas, accompanied by thunderstorms, and hail is also possible. Minimum temperatures will rise, reaching between 6°C and 11°C in most places, while daytime temperatures will decrease.
