The Day of Bravery and the Bulgarian Army Holiday - May 6 - will be marked in the Bulgarian capital Sofia with a blessing of the battle flags and sacred banners. The ceremonial ritual will begin at 10:00 a.m. in front of the Monument to the Unknown Soldier in Sofia, starting with a helicopter flyover carrying the national flag of the Republic of Bulgaria, the Ministry of Defense announced on its website.
The ceremony will include representative units from the National Guard Unit and the Joint Special Operations Command, a color guard platoon carrying the sacred banners, the Guards Representative Brass Band, and the Representative Brass Band of the Land Forces. The blessing will be performed by the Bulgarian Patriarch Daniil.

At the end of the ceremony, aircraft C-27J “Spartan,” Su-25, F-16 Block 70, and MiG-29 will fly over Alexander Nevsky Square.
At 12:00 p.m., a ceremonial changing of the guard will take place in front of the Presidency building.
