For the 20th consecutive year, the Bulgarian military memorial in Novo Selo, North Macedonia, brought together hundreds of guests and officials to mark May 6, the Day of Bravery and the Bulgarian Army. The commemoration was organised jointly by the Bulgarian Embassy in Skopje, the Ministry of Defence and the Bulgarian Memory Foundation, according to BNT.

Novo Selo is the final resting place of 71 heroes — officers and soldiers who died during the Balkan Wars and the First World War.

It is one of the few remaining of a total of 471 military cemeteries in North Macedonia. The ceremony began with a memorial service led by representatives of the Macedonian and Bulgarian Orthodox Churches. Metropolitan Naum of Strumica led it personally.
