Normal traffic is reported at all border checkpoints and crossing points

Traffic at all border crossing points and checkpoints of Bulgaria with neighbouring countries is normal, the “Border Police” announced this morning regarding movement along Bulgaria’s borders. At the border crossing with Romania, “Ruse - Giurgiu”, repair works are being carried out on the Bulgarian section of the bridge facility, and traffic is being regulated.

On the border with Greece, vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes are allowed to pass through the crossings “Rudozem”, “Zlatograd”, “Makaza”, and “Ivaylovgrad”, while at the crossings “Ilinden”, “Kulata”, and “Kapitan Petko Voyvoda”, passenger cars, buses, and freight vehicles are permitted.

In road accidents over the past 24 hours, two people have died and 20 have been injured, the Ministry of Interior reported. A total of nineteen incidents were registered. Since the beginning of the year, 138 people have lost their lives on the roads - 17 more compared to the same period last year.
