The first stage of Giro d’Italia starts in Nessebar

After Burgas hosted the presentation ceremony of the teams in Giro d’Italia on May 6, the big start of the cycling race will be on May 8. It will be given at exactly 1:50 p.m. from the North Port in Nessebar. The stage is 147 km long, passing through Ravda, Aheloy, Pomorie, Burgas and continuing to Rosen, Chernomorets and Sozopol, where the competitors turn around and head back towards Burgas. Due to the event, there is a temporary reorganization of traffic in the city. A ban on the use of drones has been introduced in the municipality of Burgas.

On May 9 (Saturday) at 12:00 p.m., a bike ride for the residents and guests of Burgas will give cycling enthusiasts the opportunity to ride part of the official route of Giro d’Italia. The route of the event, organized by the Municipality of Burgas, the Burgas Cycling Community and Go to Burgas, starts from Troikata Square and covers the first 6 kilometers of the professional racers' route in the city.
