Minister of Economy with measures against inflation and for support of producers

The new Minister of Economy, Investments and Industry, Alexander Pulev, symbolically took over the position from his predecessor Irina Shtonova. Among his main tasks, he outlined a package of legislative initiatives aimed at controlling inflation and strengthening control over unfair trade practices.

Pulev indicated that a package of measures in the energy and fuel sectors is also being prepared, developed in coordination with regulatory authorities, employer organizations and industry structures, in order to limit inflationary shocks. Among his priorities is a comprehensive revision of the activities of public enterprises, agencies and structures, aimed at establishing efficiency and limiting abuses. Better coordination of state instruments in support of Bulgarian producers is also planned.
