Intense truck traffic on the border with Türkiye

Truck traffic at the Kapitan Andreevo border crossing in the direction of Türkiye is intense, the Border Police reported. Traffic is normal at the other border crossings with Greece, North Macedonia, Serbia and Romania. At the Ruse-Giurgiu border crossing, repair work is being carried out on the Bulgarian section of the bridge over the Danube River. Traffic is being regulated and allowed to pass in one lane.

One person died and 19 have been injured in 15 serious accidents over the past 24 hours, the Traffic Police reports. Since the beginning of the month, 156 significant road accidents have occurred in the country, in which 13 people died and 187 have been injured. Since the beginning of the year, 141 people died and 2,322 people have been injured in 1,867 accidents.
