There are plans for accelerated registration of foreign seasonal workers

A possibility to shorten the registration period for seasonal work up to 90 days in Bulgaria for foreigners from the current ten to three working days - this is provided for by a draft government decree published for public discussion.

The data show that over the past five years there has been a steady increase in the number of third-country nationals who have gained access to the Bulgarian labour market precisely with secured seasonal employment. In addition to shortening the registration periods, it is also planned to eliminate the requirement to provide copies of personal documents, as well as digitalization and decentralization of procedures by engaging the territorial structures of the Employment Agency.
