Representatives of 29 countries are participating in the HEALTHXCHANGE Summit 2026 organised by the European Spas Association (ESPA), which is taking place from May 11 to 13 in the Black Sea resorts of Golden Sands and Sts. Constantine and Helena. This was announced at a press conference by the President of ESPA and Chair of the Bulgarian Union of Balneology and SPA Tourism, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Siika Katsarova, quoted by BTA.

Katsarova specified that initially the participating countries were 28, but this morning a representative of Türkiye also arrived. In total, the participants in the forum are 200, of which 100 are foreigners, as 90% of them are in Bulgaria for the first time. Katsarova said that Bulgaria was among the leaders in terms of mineral waters and healing climate. She pointed out that medical tourism enables seasonal tourist destinations to operate year-round and pointed to the Golden Sands and Sts. Constantine and Helena resorts as good examples.
