Today marks the first meeting of the government headed by Rumen Radev. The agenda includes a series of personnel changes affecting the future work of the new cabinet, including the replacement of regional governors, amendments to the rules governing the structure and operation of the Council of Ministers, and the appointment of a new deputy chair of the State Agency for National Security (DANS).

As a rule, regional governors, who serve as representatives of the executive branch at the local level, are replaced whenever a new government takes office. The amendments to the regulations governing the work of the Council of Ministers and its administration are being introduced in accordance with the current structure of the government, including the number of deputy prime ministers, ministers, and ministries.

During the Council of Ministers meeting, it will also be decided which of the deputy prime ministers will chair the National Council for Tripartite Cooperation, as well as who will represent the state in the consultative body responsible for dialogue with employers’ organizations and trade unions.
