German Chancellor Friedrich Merz will welcome the new Bulgarian Prime
Minister Rumen Radev on May 18, 2026. This is stated on the official
website of the German Chancellery, BNR "Horizont" has reported.
The talks between
the two will be dedicated to bilateral cooperation, European politics
and international security, the statement also reads. A joint press
conference is planned.
On Monday, Minister
of Foreign Affairs Velislava Petrova announced that Prime Minister
Rumen Radev's first foreign visit will be to Germany.
