After the first-ever victory for Bulgaria at the Eurovision Song Contest earned by Bulgaria's singer DARA with her song "Bangaranga", Bulgaria has earned the right to host the next edition of the forum in 2027 according to the contest regulations.

Bulgaria's DARA wins a sensational victory at Eurovision Song Contest 2026

The Council of Ministers will create an organizational system for Bulgaria’s future hosting of the Eurovision Song Contest, Minister of Culture Evtim Miloshev has told BNT.

“Bulgaria will do well – choosing a venue, security, logistics, marketing and advertising. The Bulgarian hosting of Eurovision will be at the same level as the Austrian one,” Miloshev said. He also commented on the desire of Plovdiv, Varna and Burgas to host Eurovision 2027.

“Undoubtedly, the capital city and the opportunities it provides are leading. But what happened – three other large cities that ambitiously declared interest is a good sign,” the minister said. According to him, the most reasonable thing is to consider all the options and then make the final decision.
