The state should buy back the Lukoil Neftochim Burgas refinery, the company's special commercial administrator, Rumen Spetsov, has told bTV. Asked whether Bulgaria was proposing to buy back the refinery, Spetsov said that there is currently such a historic chance and if the government and the Bulgarian parliament take the matter seriously considering the importance of the refinery and if there is a public consensus, it could happen. When asked what the potential price of the refinery would be, Spetsov indicated that this would be the market price. According to him, Bulgaria can quite easily make claims and participate in a secondary acquisition of the local assets of Lukoil's business in Bulgaria.
