Saraboyukov opens season with second place in Shanghai Diamond League

Bozhidar Saraboyukov began his outdoor season with a second-place finish at the Diamond League event in Shanghai/Keqiao, China.

The Bulgarian long jumper, who won bronze at this winter’s World Athletics Indoor Championships in Toruń, recorded 8.07 metres (+0.1 m/sec) to secure second place.

Coached by Dimitar Karamfilov, Saraboyukov will remain in China for his next appearance at the Diamond League event in Xiamen next Saturday. According to sportal.bg, the reigning European indoor champion travelled to China while ill and with a temperature of 38°C.
