Wednesday will bring warm but unsettled weather across Bulgaria, with temperatures ranging from 21°C to 26°C and around 21°C in Sofia. Morning skies will be partly cloudy, but thicker clouds are expected to develop over eastern Bulgaria.

Showers and thunderstorms are likely in the east around midday before spreading into central parts of the country later in the day. Hail is also possible. Winds from the north-northwest will be moderate, becoming temporarily strong in eastern areas.

The Black Sea coast will see mostly cloudy weather with afternoon rain and thunderstorms in many places. Temperatures there will remain cooler, between 14°C and 15°C. Sea water temperatures are between 14°C and 17°C.

In the mountains, afternoon showers and thunderstorms are expected mainly in the central and eastern Balkan Mountains and the Strandzha region. Temperatures will reach around 14°C at 1,200 metres and about 6°C at 2,000 metres.

The unsettled weather will continue on Thursday, with more rain and thunderstorms expected across much of the country.
