Warm weather with clouds and afternoon showers

On Thursday, the lowest temperatures will range between 10°C and 17°C, around 11°C in Sofia. During the day, cloudiness over the country will mostly be significant, with cumulus and cumulonimbus clouds in the afternoon. There will also be brief rain showers with thunderstorms, especially in Eastern Bulgaria and the mountainous regions. A moderate northwesterly wind will blow, temporarily strong in the Danubian Plain, the Upper Thracian Plain, and along the Struma Valley. Maximum temperatures will range from 22 to 27°C,around 22°C in the capital city.

Along the Black Sea coast, cloudiness will be significant, with rain and thunderstorms in many areas. There will be a moderate and temporarily strong northwesterly wind. Daytime highs will range between 19°C and 24°C. The seawater temperature is 15°C –17°C. Sea state around 2 on the Beaufort scale.

In the mountains, cloudiness will mostly be significant, with cumulus and cumulonimbus clouds developing in the afternoon. In many places, there will be short rain showers accompanied by thunderstorms. There will be a strong north-northwest wind. Maximum temperature at an altitude of 1,200 meters will be around 14°C, at 2000 meters around 7°C.

On Friday, there will be rain across the whole country. The wind will be moderate from the northwest. Maximum temperatures will drop by a degree or two, ranging between 20°C and 25°C.
