One of Bulgaria most prominent and influential contemporary artists, Lubo Kirov, is presenting his new album Futurophonia. It features 10 songs, each telling its own story. “This is an album about the beautiful things — the passage of time, the people who stay, and the music that has meaning. It sounds like music we haven’t heard in years, yet it feels like the future. For me, ‘Futurophonia’ is about choosing for ourselves what today is, why it is today, and who we are today, regardless of the past, trends, or rules”, said Lubo Kirov.

The name itself is an original word created by the artist, combining “futuro” — future, and “phonia” — sound, voice. In this way, “Futurophonia” becomes a concept that will accompany Lubo Kirov throughout the entire year.

His upcoming tour carries the same name and will present the album to audiences on major summer stages in 13 cities across the country, including two consecutive concerts at Hall 1 of the National Palace of Culture in Sofia.

The lead single is the title track "Futurophonia", for which a special radio version was produced and mastered at Abbey Road Studios in London — a studio closely associated with The Beatles and which has hosted music icons such as Pink Floyd, Amy Winehouse, and Radiohead.

The official video for the title track is also released alongside the album, built around a powerful symbol: a giant funnel — a metaphor for the voice and the need to be heard, as well as to hear ourselves.
